Update (July 28, 2025): Unhoused man seen with Sally stays near the bus stop on 5th Street (near Wildwood). Also, neighbors told me that his grandmother is an occupant at the mobile home park at the corner of Wildwood & 5th Street. (As of 14 Sept 2025, No confirmation. Possible).

(June 29, 2025): Likely sighting. A very caring person called and said that they had just seen Sally with an unhoused person (Hidden Valley Estates, near Avenue E and 4th Street). The description of the man is nearly identical to the man described by the Shell station worker on February 9, 2025. Person told me that they called out to Sally by her name, and the dog reacted. I asked the person if they were sure, and they said, "it's your dog, call the police."

Sally is tan and black with a little gray on her forehead, and about 14 lbs. when lost (likely much thinner now). She was lost with a plaid vest (light brown) but may or may not be wearing it. She was lost on February 8, 2025 (late afternoon). The last confirmed sighting is in front of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church area in Yucaipa, CA (Avenue E & 5th Street). 3 confirmed sightings on Feb 8, 2025. Sally went missing from Wildwood/Colorado.

Sally could be be anywhere . . .  possibly with the unhoused person seen within hours after she went missing/another unhoused person, in someone’s home or backyard, or several towns away). Please keep an eye out for her + post to groups around Yucaipa. I beg you.

Sightings:

Update (22 Feb 2025): Most hopeful sighting (80% sure) is by a gas station employee near the Jack in the Box on Yucaipa and 4th Street (February 9, 2025, 3am). They told me that an unhoused man (30, 5’9″, thin/med, White or White/Hispanic, hyperpigmentation on face, and large backpack). He was on foot with my dog.

I found an unhoused man looking for cans/bottles around the gas station on Yucaipa/Bryant (this is 7 weeks after Sally went missing). He fit the description, except he was a bit shorter than the description above (hyper pigmentation: looked like skin peeling from a bad sunburn that had almost healed). I asked him if he saw my dog, and he replied, “no”. At the time, this man had short hair (~1.5", brown).

I do not know if these people are the same, and there is no hair description of the man seen at the gas station (had a hoodie on) by the gas station worker.

Update (7 May 2025): Man seen at the gas station, possibly with Sally (80%), has not been seen since 9 Feb 2025. The Shell gas station worker told me that the unhoused man is someone they see around a couple of times a month (worker works weekends only). Also, the description by the Shell gas station worker is very close to the person likely seen with Sally (99%) at the Dollar Tree in upper Yucaipa.

Update (24 May 2025): I visited the Shell gas station worker and had them look at the most recent photos that the folks of Yucaipa have sent in. Worker confirmed that the dog he saw is not Ivan's dog (Gray body/black face).

(Monday, March 31, 2025) A text came in saying that a man was holding my pup. Person described him as Hispanic, 32-35, thin, short hair (dark), dental issues (possibly missing teeth), at the Dollar Tree (parking lot) on Avenue D & California. Text also said that they were 99% sure that it was Sally, with the vest described in the lost post. After interviewing people at the Dollar Tree (man and dog were gone). I spoke with several of Ivan's friends about the sighting. They told me that Ivan was at the location earlier in the day but that he does not have a dog that fits Sally's description. Ivan's dog is gray (w/black face).

Update (19 May 2025) I sent over several photos that the community sent me of Ivan's dog (and other dogs seen in the area that resemble Sally) to the person that saw Sally at the Dollar Tree, then asked the person if they could be mistaking Sally for Ivan's dog (gray with black face), and the person told me that it definitely was not Ivan's dog. The dog seen was tan and black with some gray.

This is Sally . . . pls don't forget her.

C, thank you for caring.

(Thursday, March 3, 2025) A person claimed that my dog was being held by an unhoused man (20s, thin) in the parking lot of the Jack in the Box on Yucaipa/4th. This is likely Chip and his late mother's dog (currently lost in Yucaipa). See attached photo of Chip and his dog. Chip does not have my dog. Please do not bother him.

(Feb. 20, 2025) An official from the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Avenue E/5th said that they had spotted my dog at the Jack in the Box on Yucaipa/5th. Likely Chip and his dog (possibly of the man and my dog as described by the gas station worker on Feb 9).
Chip does not have my dog. Please do not bother him. Photo attached: Chip and his dog -- public forum.

Thank you to the person that sent me this photo.

(12:27PM, Feb. 20, 2025) A person called and said that they just saw my dog run past the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Avenue E/5th. I arrived there 2 hours later (I live in LA), searched the area with volunteers (until 8PM), and found no sign of her. Possibly Sally.
